 BASIC QUESTIONS 

1)  Where should I report “broken links” or problems or ask general questions or make comments about SoulGrowth.org ?

2)  I don’t seem to be able to log in.

Make sure that This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is added to your address book, whitelist or list of approved senders in your Email account to make sure that you will receive messages from our system messages. Check your Junk Mail to see if a message went in there.

Second, if you've forgotten your password, you can reset it at any time by going here.  Our system will automatically send you a login that you may use only once.  Login on that and change your password immediately.  If you are still unable to log in, you can e-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we’ll reset your password for you.

3)  I get an "Access Denied" message when I log on to SoulGrowth.org.

This might be caused by your firewall settings. If you have set your firewall/anti-spam/anti-virus software at its highest level, and set it so that it won’t accept any cookies from web sites, you might receive that message when you try to log in to SoulGrowth.org.  Re-adjust your settings to accept cookies, that might do it. (most firewalls support a list of trusted sites to allow cookies from so you will only be allowing cookies from our site by adding it there)  We try to bake up our “cookies” with honey and other healthy ingrediments – so they should be good for your computer !   (OK – that last line is a joke)

4)  I submitted a Home Page link to SoulGrowth.org but I can’t find it.

Click on the Step on “The Path” that is relevant to your article (framed in white – on our “Rolling Menu” – WellBeing, Prosperity, etc.).  You can then search for the Web Site that you submitted.  Use the Search Window if there are too many links for you to spot it easily.   If you can’t find it, it may not be up yet or there is a chance that it wasn’t approved.  If it is not up after 4 or 5 days, you can Email us about it from the box above.

5)  What is a “Reciprocal link” ?  Will you link to my Web Site and how do I make a reciprocal link to yours ?

Reciprocal links mean that Web Sites link to each other.  In this case, SoulGrowth.org has a goal of linking to ALL of the tasteful, effective sites that are relevant to Soul Growth.  Whether or not you can find a link to your site in our Home Pages – you may create a link to SoulGrowth.org on your website.  If you don’t find a link to your site . . . submit it to our editors in the little form above or from your Mentor Site and – if it is appropriate, relevant and in good taste – we will automatically add it to our Home Pages.  Then, we hope that you will add a reciprocal link to your site – although it is not required.  It may interest you to understand that web sites usually fare better in their Search Engine placement if they have many reciprocal links.  To find instructions on how to create a reciprocal link, click here.

2)  How much does it cost to be a Soul Growth Mentor ?   What are my responsibilities ?

There is NO CHARGE to be a Soul Growth Mentor.  You pretty much decide what your responsibilities are based on your level of motivation to help others.  We hope you will put your best foot forward and work hard to help others – and to help yourself.  Your only responsibility is to BE KIND !   We also ask that you be tasteful and professional in your promotion of yourself, your “Goods” and Services and events and make sure that everything is relevant to Soul Growth.

4)  I submitted an application to serve as a Soul Growth Mentor (or a photo or article to SoulGrowth.org but I haven’t received a confirmation.  How do I know when it has been approved ?   How long does it take ?   Where can I find it ?

Approval of submissions to Soul Growth are done in person.  We try to do them quickly but – depending on the number applications, articles, etc, that we receive, it may take up to 3 or 4 days to be approved or rejected.  You will receive a notification from our system when they are approved.   You will be able to find your information on your “Personal Page”.

5)  There are some weird characters and symbols on my “Personal Page” that I didn’t add.  Where did it come from and how can I fix it ?

It sounds like you “Pasted” some text into your page directly from Word or some other program.  This can happen if you don’t use the little paste window along the top bar of your text entry screen – it has a blue W on it.  You can either just re-type it in directly into the text entry screen or delete all of the text that has gobbledegook in it and re-paste it correctly – opening that little window and pasting it into there first. 

6)  Can I register as a Soul Growth Mentor under more than one field ?
Yes.  Please use the fields that show up as options when you register as a Mentor.  If you don’t see your specific field(s), please send your suggestions to our editors for their consideration.  If your suggestions are approved, we will notify you by Email.  You are on your honor to choose only fields in which you are truly qualified to help others who are on “The Path”.  If our editors determine that you are “Fudging” . . . that can be grounds for disqualification as a Mentor.

7)  May I promote myself and/or my business or interests on my “Personal Page” ?

Yes – within reason.   Please understand that the purpose of the Personal Page is to enable you to HELP OTHERS . . . and to help yourself.  We strongly discourage blatant SELLING, ADVERTISING or SPAMMING.  You are allowed to tastefully and professionally promote yourself and your relevant and compatible “Goods”, services and events.  If our editors feel you are “Over the Top” or taking advantage of a very valuable opportunity, they will notify you by Email.  If there are recurring infringements, you could be removed as a Mentor.

8)  How do I create my Personal Page ?   How do I make changes to it ?   How do I add a photo ?

        1 - Login to SoulGrowth.org - http://SoulGrowth.org
        2 – In the little “User Menu” (on your left) click on “View/Edit Your Profile”   
        3 – Most of the steps will be obvious from there.  You can play with the menu items along the top to change the formatting etc.

        4 – To insert a photo into the text entry box, there is a little “Photo Icon” on the top of this box.  When you click on it a window will open that has your photos in it.  If there are none in it . . . look for “Upload” on the top edge and follow logic.

9)  I'm having trouble with different aspects of my Personal Page Edtior.

It is hard to tell what is happening but if you are pasting through the little “W” window (see #7, above) and using the tools on the window . . . then maybe you are a Mac user using the Safari browser ?   Sometimes it is easier just to download Firefox (www.mozilla.com).  You may also have problems if your anti-virus program is set at too stringent a setting.
