Variously called "The New Age", "The Golden Age" and . . . 

~~   The Age of Aquarius   ~~

Some say we are entering the final – the third – Golden Age . . . 

The first having been Lemuria . . .

And the more recent one having been Atlantis.

This concept strikes disgust - or even fear - in the minds of some Christians but it is simply a concept based on one of the primary theories of "Astrology" (which some call the pseudo science but which is really one of the original sciences - starting thousands of years ago).  Many people think astrology is silly - and a waste of time - but anyone who studies it or follows it for awhile will find amazing truths, substantiation and what others would call coincidence in the patterns that it overlays on their life.  

Many of you will remember that beautiful song:  “This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”.   But most do not realize that WE ARE ENTERING INTO THAT AGE . . . right now !   Most people thought that the “Dawning of the Age of Aquarius” was the 60’s and 70’s because of the phenomenally popular play “Hair” and its music.

In some senses, that is true, for – of course – astronomical and astrological transitions take time.  And major transitions like this happen very slowly.  It takes a few days to move from one astrological sign into another, each month.  Can you imagine how many days, months or years it may take to move FROM the Age of Pisces (which is the weighty, deep, cold Age of Water) . . . INTO The Age of Aquarius ?    Some Astrologers say that it takes over 700 years to make that transition !   During that time, the characteristics of the coming age begin to have some bearing on the waning years of the parting age.  This is known as the “Orb of influence”.  The possible dates that different people have suggested for the start of the Aquarian age range from 1447 to 3621.  Because there are such vast differences of opinion among astrologers, there are a many alternative, esoteric, innovative and fringe theories about the Astrological Ages.  And they are complicated by the fact that the Mayan Calendar ends in the year 2012.

We believe that we are definitely in those days . . . or years . . . of transition, during which our  “PLANET, GODDESS, EARTH”,  is moving into  The Age of Aquarius.  And, we have definitely been experiencing that “Dawning” – the “Cusp” – since the late 1960’s and early ‘70’s. 

The promise of this NEW AGE is that we shall “See no more through a glass darkly, but rather, clearly and openly, face to face”.  This is the “Golden Age” !   This is the Age of Light.  The Age of Air.  An Age of Freedom.  And Consciousness !

And what does it mean to you ?   That can only be decided by you.
