Thank you for coming to Soul Growth.  We are a group of people who seek higher consciousness, based upon a great body of ancient and modern wisdom, substantiated by our Spiritual Father’s teachings that the FOUR CORNERS of the PYRAMID are:  Life, Mind, Truth and Love.  And – if we master these four corners – we can climb the pyramid and reach the top – Spirit.

Our goal is to simplify your journey up “Your Spiritual Path” by sharing the understanding that the steps to consciousness are actually quite simple.  We hope to help you to become motivated and committed to follow “Your Path” . . . and then to provide you with relevant tools that will help you to follow it.  Our hope is that you will stay on that Path . . . and that it will lead you to health, strength, success, happiness, peace and clarity.  We call it “The Lifestyles of the Clear and Conscious” !

This site was conceived and founded by me, Electricity Aquarian (often “E” – born Jim Edmonds), a stalwart "Son of YaHoWha". When I was 6 years old, I stood up in the pulpit in front of about a thousand people at the Park Street Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, and said that I was going to be a minister if I had to build my own church !   Well, that was the least of my interests for most of my life but I guess it’s true when they say that the Lord works in mysterious ways !  

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1968 and then began my journey to find something “Better and higher”.   I left the next day for San Francisco - where I caught the tail end of the dying "Summer of Love".  I then spent several years teaching High School at an American School in Switzerland and began to narrow things down and to realize that there actually WAS a “Path” not long after becoming a vegetarian in 1971.  I have lived in San Francisco and the Bay Area many times and began to congeal my Spiritual journey when I left there in 1973 to help my Spiritual Brother – Electric – pursue the elusive success that his music deserved.  We found zero success with the music but we did find my Spiritual Father – Father Yod (later, Ya Ho Wha) – at his Kohoutek Comet concert in Venice, California in early 1974 (on Clear Light).  I went through a few changes, wrapped up my businesses in San Francisco, and came to stay at The Source Family on September 17^th of that year.  All men who came into the Family started off washing dishes full time in our restaurant.  Talk about a meditation !

Father had created the Source Family around his famous Source Restaurant – on Sunset Strip, which he opened in Hollywood, on April 1, 1969.  Up to about 140 of us lived, worked and meditated together for about 7 years and many of us are still remarkably close over 40 years later.  You can read the story of the Family in "Our Source" and find our books, music and information in our AwareHouse.

After  Ya Ho Wha  left his earthly body in 1975, I fell in love with, and married, Harvest Moon Aquarian (also a Member of the Family and a Council Member) in 1977 and we are still happily married.  We have raised 3 awesome young men together and welcomed our first granddaughter in early 2009.  During this Holy Union, I have created and founded many businesses based upon Father’s wisdom, primary of which is Emerald Isle Properties, which Harvest and I have owned and managed, on Kauai and the Big Island, in Hawaii, since 1990.

I worked with Isis to coordinate the private Source Family web site in 2000 and Isis and I then began to work on the story about the Family – which was a huge endeavor and wasn’t finished until 2007.  Actually, I guess it’s still not finished !  In 2002 we founded the Source Foundation to preserve and share Father’s legacy of teachings and music and we continue as the President and Vice President today.  The Foundation has re-issued and marketed 6 of Father’s original albums and a CD of his Chants and republished Father’s book, Liberation, in 2004.  Isis and I coordinated an effort to gather much wisdom about assorted subjects to be published in the back of that book.  In 2005 Isis and I worked with Evan Wells to produce the DVD - Re-Visiting Father and The Source Family.

I recently completed my first anthology of my poetry (Don’t Buy This Book, Unless . . . ) and I hope to make it available in the AwareHouse soon, complete with a DVD of the Poet reading most of the works.  Don’t worry, it ain’t pretty poetry about the sand and the sea !   It has taken me over 40 years to craft some pretty powerful and evocative stuff !   I was born in South Carolina in 1945 and Harvest and I live on the Big Island and Kauai, Hawaii.

In 2006 Isis and I actually completed the story of the Source Family to the best of our abilities and time constraints, although we learned from that experience that 100 people will have 100 completely different perspectives on any given story !   We also collected and edited all of the recipes from the original Source Restaurant – which was one of our nation’s (if not “the”) first Health Food Restaurants and founded by Father in 1969 – and published them in the back of this book.  We sent it off to the printer in Spring of 2006 to self-publish 250 signed and numbered copies and – 3 days later – Jodi Wille – of Process Publishing – called to say that they would like to write a book about us !   She took our original book and re-edited and expanded the story and turned it into a sort of a pop icon, modern history book.  It has been read and loved by many as The Source – The Untold Story of Father Yod, YaHoWha 13 and The Source Family and is available in our AwareHouse.   You can read more about Father and the Source Family in Our Source.

Isis Aquarian was one of the early ones to find Father . . . . She was born Charlene Peters and grew up in an Air Force family, the eldest of 7 children.  She graduated from high school in Florida and moved Washington, DC to work with Senator Gurney and became an aid to President Johnson.   She moved to New York to work for Braniff Airlines and then on to LA, where she worked with and later became engaged to Ron Raffaelli, a famous Rock Music photographer.  She met Jim Baker while he owned the Old World Restaurant – a few years before he became Father Yod.

After he created the Source Restaurant, she joined him  as Father – and the Source Communal Brotherhood.  Isis was personally appointed by Father to be the Source Family’s archivist, historian and the “Keeper of the Temple”.  Besides being one of the leaders of the Family and a very active Member of the 13-woman Council (which Father appointed to handle Family business and issues), she was one of the most active photographers of Father and the Family and filmed, recorded audio (particularly each of Father’s morning “Classes”), maintained scrapbooks, helped take care of Family business and was one of Father’s 14 women. 

Isis has a daughter named Saturna, from the days of the Source Family, who is married, living in Hawaii and raising her first-born, Alana.  Isis is currently involved in “The Final Passage” movement to protect citizens’ rights of “death with dignity,” and the right to legally have a three-and-a-half-day vigil for deceased loved ones. She helps maintain the YaHoWha.org website and is co-founder and longtime Vice-President of the Source Foundation and a Board Member.  In 2000, she set up the original Family social site and helps host the family reunions.  She collected and edited all of the recipes from the original Source Restaurant and re-published them in the back of Father's book "Liberation".  In 2005 she and Electricity worked with Evan Wells to produce the DVD - Re-Visiting Father and the Source Family.  Isis is associate producer and subject of The Source Family documentary, currently in production.

She put out a CD entitled “Echoes of a Crone”, is a co-producer of a Tee Shirts line with the L.A. designer Popomomo, reflecting inspiration of the Family teaching’s and adventures.   She collaborated with a band out of San Diego called “ High Mountain Temple” to do several tracks on their CD called “The Goddess is Returning” and “On the Cross of Relativity”.   She has spoken at the International Intentional Communal Conference Association and continues to work full time on an infinite number of Family projects.  As keeper of the Source Archives she is working to preserve, protect, reproduce and share what we have of the legacy through Books, Teachings, Music and Film. 

She and E co-wrote “No More Secrets” – a book of the Wisdom Teachings of the Source Family.  Isis recently discovered more of the Families lost music in her archives and it is now being re-mastered and released through Drag City Records.

But the pinnacle of these amazing feats is the definitive story of the Father and the Source Family – The Source, the Untold Story of Father Yod, YaHoWha 13 and the Source Family.  She worked with Electricity for about 10 years to gather stories and information and try to reconstruct this signature story – which she has called “An Aquarian Exodus”.  This book was edited by Jodi Wille, and published by Process Media in 2007.  In 2008 it was awarded the Bronze Medal by The Independent Publishers Book Awards (IPPY).  We have had many people point out how it has brought back memories of that time frame, changed their lives and been embraced by the younger generations.  It has revived our legacy and become quite a cult classic.  This book is available in our AwareHouse. 

Isis remembers having had visions and psychic experiences since she was in her teens.  She now resides in Hawaii and was born in 1942.

Electricity and Isis are working together to found and manage Soul Growth Inc. – which they created when they realized that humankind needs a new venue to focus all of the Spiritual Energy that is all over the place on the internet.  Our goal, with Soul Growth, is to ease your journey on “Your Spiritual Path” . . . to share ancient wisdom gathered from many “Sources” and to share the Ancient and Sacred Name of God – which has been heretofore hidden for thousands of years (see Our Source).

E and Isis are also working together to produce the Soul Growth Seminars.  These Seminars are profound and truly help many people on their journey along their path.  They will present a one hour TeleSeminar: “NO MORE SECRETS” this summer and "LIFE, MIND, TRUTH & LOVE" (06/06/09 - a 7 hour Tele-Seminar during 3 weeks).  In September (09/09/09), they will offer “THE MYSTIC ROAD” . . . a 22 week TeleSeminar (that you can take from wherever you are) which will provide a clear path to higher consciousness.  These Seminars feature an amazing, eclectic collection of ancient and modern wisdom and they are unveiling GroundBreaking Tele-Meditations and the chanting of the Ancient and Sacred Name of God !
